We have already partied in your pocket. We’ve already spilled the universe’s coffee. Now it’s time to show the universe how to fetch on command. Because why chase after what you want...when it can come running to you, tail wagging?
Today’s Game: Teaching the Universe to Play Fetch
Goal: Make a specific desire that will find you in the next 48 hours.
Time Required: 2 minutes
How to Play:
- Choose your “stick.” Grab any small object you can toss a short distance, such as a pen, a sock, a crumpled receipt, or a spoon.
- Name your wish aloud. Example: “Surprise money!” or “Happy news!”
- Toss the object gently across the room. As you throw it, say: “Fetch it, Universe!”
- Then call it back. Go pick up the object, bring it back, and whisper: “Good job! Now bring me the real thing.”
- End with a grin like you just trained a very well-behaved puppy.
What to Expect:
Within 48 hours, something aligned with your wish will chase you down. It could be exact or a delightful “fetch attempt” so obvious that it will make you laugh out loud.
Why It Works:
Your brain interprets “fetch” literally. By acting it out physically, you bypass the mental barrier of “trying to make it happen.” The subconscious says: “Oh, we’re inviting, not chasing.” The universe plays along.
